FMM-125 supports RS-232 and RS-485 serial standards and can be configured to work in different RS-232/RS-485 modes. More information about each mode is provided in [[FMB125 RS-232 and RS-485|RS-232 and RS-485]].<br/>Only one mode may be selected at a time:

''Garmin FMI mode'' has addditional filtering capabilities. It is possible to filter Ping and Unicode packets. If <span style=color:#F6A83E>Ping Filter</span> is enabled, then Ping packets are blocked. When <span style=color:#F6A83E>Unicode Filter</span> is enabled Unicode packets are not sent to the server. Both filters may be enabled for simultaneous effect.<br/><br/><br/>

LLS addresses may be configured for 5 LLS sensors. If at least one LLS sensor is connected to FMM125 when configuring device using configurator, LLS sensor ID will be entered automatically.
