OBD II settings

OBD II feature

Disable

Disables OBD II parameter requesting/reading from the vehicle.

OBD (Auto)

OBD Auto refers to the functionality that utilizes the OBD II standard protocol, which supports standardized Parameter IDs (PIDs), such as PID 010D for vehicle speed. When OBD Auto is enabled, the device sends Mode 01 (Show Current Data) requests to the vehicle's ECU, allowing access to standard parameters like vehicle speed, engine RPM, and more.

OBD Non-Compliant

OBD Non-Compliant mode refers to vehicles that do not support the OBD II standard protocol (recommended setting for EV’s). As a result, standard Parameter IDs (PIDs) defined by the OBD II specification such as vehicle speed (010D) - cannot be requested. Instead, this mode relies exclusively on OEM-specific parameters or non-standard data formats, which can vary significantly across different vehicle makes and models.

ELD

Electronic Logging Device (ELD) functionality, enabling it to automatically record and transmit key vehicle and engine usage data. This feature is particularly beneficial for fleet management, driver log-book maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

After enabling ELD - new section with J1939 parameters can be found in „ELD“ section on the left bottom of configurator.

ELD Data Send Period

ELD data send period (s) – Sets period of ELD data sending via Bluetooth. Period range from 2 to 65535 seconds.
