FILES

This chapter is an overview of FILES menu.

Files section

This section displays files that have been uploaded to FOTA WEB by a user. Two possible file types: Firmware and Configuration.


FIELD NAME	VALUE	DESCRIPTION
FILE NAME	String: file name	Exact filename of uploaded file. In case of configuration download from device – it includes IMEI + Unix timestamp.
TYPE	Firmware \| configuration	Shows whether file is firmware or configuration.
COMPANY	String: Company name	Shows to which company this file is assigned. If a file is assigned to a child level company – then only that particular company and its root level company can utilize this file.
DESCRIPTION	String: description; default: N/A	Description shows user-defined explanation for this file. In case of configuration download from device – it shows “From device”.
UPLOADED AT	String: date and time	It shows when the file was uploaded to the FOTA WEB. Date/Time is adjusted by the browser according to the time of local PC.

Actions

ACTIONS button allows to add a new file or remove (delete) already uploaded ones.


FIELD NAME	ACTIONS	DESCRIPTION
Add new file	Companies \| Firmware \| Configuration	Add new file menu allows to select a Company and assign Firmware and Configuration files to it. It is possible to upload multiple Firmware files and Multiple configurations at the same time.
Remove	-	Removes selected file(s) from FOTA WEB. Once file is removed it shall not appear in Devices -> Actions -> Assign options.

NOTE: configuration files that were downloaded via Devices -> Actions -> Download from device -> Configuration file shall appear in FILES tab.

Configuration files can be downloaded to your PC from FILES menu. Configuration files can be opened only with FM configurator.
