TachoSync Basic Requirements

Basic requirements to use TachoSync:

  • A TachoSync account – contact your sales representative.
  • At least one supported Teltonika device, installed in a vehicle, connected to a tachograph.

  • A computer that is:
    • Always online;

TachoSync and VPNs

In the logistics and related industries, there are various legal requirements regarding data safety and privacy. To meet them, fleet operators frequently use VPNs (virtual private networks).

If your device SIM cards are within a mobile operator’s VPN (private APN), make sure that:

  1. The operator’s network can resolve the domain https://tacho.teltonika.lt/.
  2. The following domain and port are allowed by the operator:

When using VPN SIM cards, you should still configure https://tacho.teltonika.lt/ domain in your configurator, not the plain IP address.
