Telematics Configuration Tool Auto Update

The new Telematics Configuration Tool (TCT) also brings a new Auto Update feature, which allows users to have one configurator and update it when new firmware version is released, rather than having multiple configurators for different firmware versions.

Additionally, the configuration tool can be updated right from the tool itself, so the user does not have to go to other pages in order to find updates.

Updating Teltonika Configuration Tool

  1. After the TCT is installed and launched on the user's computer, the user will be greeted with this main window. TCT main.png
  2. If there is an update available, the user will get a notification on the top right corner of the TCT window. Update notification.png
  3. From this notification client can not only update the TCT but also check the new functionality this upgrade brings to the tool. As.png
  4. Once the Update button is clicked, download is started and update files are downloaded. The download time depends on the internet speed and update size.
  5. After successfully downloading the update files, the following button will appear. Res.png
  6. After it is clicked, TCT will be closed and the following setup window will appear

  7. After selecting which users of the computer the updated TCT has to be installed, the user has to wait for the installation to be completed.

  8. Once it is done, the user will see the following window. The "Run Telematics Configuration Tool" checkmark should be left selected and the "Finish" button should be clicked.

  9. The Telematics Configuration Tool will be loaded again and all the newest features will be available to the user. If the user wants to verify, that the update was successful, they can go to Settings > Version History menu, where they should see that the current version is the latest version as can be seen below.
