Credit System Description
TachoSync credit system is usage based, with rolling expiry:
- 1 credit per month is reserved for each active Teltonika tracker.
- On the last calendar day of the month, the total number of reserved credits is deducted from your company account.
- If a tracker (vehicle) becomes inactive during the current month, 1 credit is still reserved for that month, but no credits are reserved when the next month comes, if the tracker is still inactive.
- All purchased credits have a 1-year rolling expiry – if new credits are bought, the older credits inherit the expiry date of the newly bought credits.
Example Scenario
- A logistics company has 100 vehicles, 95 of which are actively used.
- On January 1st, 2025, the company purchases 1200 credits. Their expiry date is automatically set to January 1st, 2026.
- Because 95 vehicles actively use TachoSync, 95 credits are reserved during January.
- After one month, on February 1st, the reserved tickets are deducted, so there are 1200-1*95=1105 credits left in the company account.
- This repeats during the whole year – after 12 months, on December 31st, there are 1200-12*95=60 credits in the account.
- If the company does not purchase any other credits during the year, the remaining 60 credits expire on January 1st, 2026. There will be 0 credits in the company account then.
- If the company purchases additional credits before January 1st, 2026, all credits in the company account inherit the expiry date of the newly purchased credits.
