The external GNSS antenna reciever should be as close the the windshield as possible, obstructed by the least amount of metal. After connecting the all the necessary connections to the device, check to see if device is turning on and the LEDs are blinking. Both LEDs (Status and Navigate indicators) should eventually both blink once every second. This indicates that device is working and has acquired GPS fix.
